Wyoming first state stable coin?

Writer's picture: Shan Belew Shan Belew

Wyoming senator Rothfuss proposed a bill to create a US backed stable coin and is known as the WYOMING STABLE COIN ACT.

In this bill introduced on February 17, 2022 it outlines the requirements for Wyoming to issue it's own stable coin. It would be the first US state to create a stable coin.

The bill does not describe which blockchain would be selected to create the managed tokens.

The bill can be found here

There are several blockchains that could be selected. Litecoin with the omnilite capability would be a great choice for Wyoming to utilize as the litecoin network is one of the most decentralized, fair launch, 100% uptime for over a decade with proven history and low fees.
